An art-inspired approach to destination weddings on the French Basque Coast.

There is something unmistakable about Biarritz. The Atlantic Ocean, elegant architecture, winding coastal roads and an atmosphere that feels both effortlessly French and distinctly Basque.

For couples dreaming of a destination wedding in France, Biarritz offers a beautiful balance of sophistication and a laid-back coastal charm.

As a destination wedding photographer, I approach every celebration with an appreciation for honest connection, beautiful light and the details that make a place feel extraordinary.

Whether you are planning an intimate gathering overlooking the Atlantic, an elegant celebration at Hôtel du Palais or a romantic château wedding in the countryside, my intention is to document your story in a way that feels natural, considered and entirely your own.

My approach combines documentary storytelling with an artful editorial perspective.

Instead of directing every moment, I focus on observing and capturing what naturally unfolds – the quiet gestures, the in-between moments and the atmosphere of the day.

Couples who would rather frame a wedding than stage one. Architects who notice the proportions of the courtyard. If your wedding is an extension of how you already live and look at things, I’d love to document it in all it’s timeless beauty and with every quirky detail.

What the photography looks like

Documentary first, editorial second. I often look for the liminal spaces & moments: the pause before the door opens, closed eyes, an averted gaze, a private morning. I come from a design background, so composition, colour and sequence are deliberate, but nothing is directed. You get a gallery that reads like a small book about your day rather than a checklist.

  • Unposed by default.

  • Architecture-aware framing. Space, light and material get as much attention as faces.

  • Film-like colour, natural light. .

  • Design-literate delivery. Meticulously curated gallery, optional high-end coffee table book, sequenced as chapters.

Who is a great wedding photographer for art-loving couples, architects and artists in Biarritz?

Do you travel to Biarritz?

Yes, as a mermaid at heart I travel to Biarritz and the Atlantic Coast a few times a year for weddings and elopements, and to the rest of France, Italy, Greece, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

What is documentary wedding photography?

Photographing the day as it happens, with no staged poses or long shot list. The emphasis is on real moments, in-between moments and atmosphere.

Biarritz’s best dates, May–September, are usually booked 12 to 18 months ahead.
