A blue sea with a rocky pier and a metal frame with a sign in Italian that says 'Vietato non amar il mare', meaning 'Forbidden not to love the sea', and a windsock attached to the right pole, against a clear blue sky.

BIO / VICTORIA VAN DEN HOVEN

At the heart of my work, you’ll find light, connection, and composition — some of my core values as an artist. From there, I strive for honest storytelling with a cinematic approach, documenting from the heart.

A woman wearing black sunglasses and earrings holding a baby in front of a scenic seaside background with buildings on a cliff and boats on the water.
A smiling woman in glasses with dark hair, wearing a floral dress with cold shoulders, outdoors on a sunny day near a cafe or restaurant, with a menu board visible in the background.

My inspiration flows from genuine connection, the human form, natural light, the sea, fresh air, community, vulnerability, earth tones, film, the forest, tonality, human interaction, misty days, wind-blown hair, imperfections, movement, visual poetry, the blue hour — a fresh perspective, and so much more. Inspiration is everywhere.

I find beauty in the funny moments, the everyday, the ordinary. I discover wonder, playfulness, and honesty in the life you live and everything that surrounds you.

Being by the sea is always my greatest source of inspiration. It leaves me refreshed, recharged, and full of stories to tell.

I’m left-handed, freckled, and an introverted extrovert — a humble and honored witness to your life and whatever unfolds in the time we share together.

I live with my husband Emiel and our two children in Freiburg.

Let’s create magic together — images you can truly feel.
